Fundraising 2022-23

We hope this letter finds everybody and their families doing well as we all continue to prepare for Christmas. We would like to take this opportunity to summarize what Friends of Studio ’91 has accomplished since the start of the season in August.

We have had many successful fundraisers so far and the fundraising was really energized by the success of our first sale. This was a flower sale where approximately 800 flowers were sold. We continued with 7 additional fundraisers and anticipate at least another 8 during the second half of the dance season. We ended the first half of the fundraising season with a second successful sub sale where approximately 500 sandwiches were sold. In between, the sales consisted of donuts, pizza, greeting cards, meat sticks, and wreaths. This is quite a lot of work and shows what a successful season it was.

This success benefits Friends of Studio ’91 in supporting the dancers as well as benefiting the families that participate. The participation rate is close to 65% with close to $9,000 being raised.

Join Us at Texas Roadhouse THURSDAY, December 8, 2022 from 3-10 pm!

Our next dine out night for the ‘TWAS Wardrobe will be at Texas Roadhouse (1101 Lower Allen Drive Camp Hill, PA  17011) on Thursday, December 8, 2022.  Texas Roadhouse will offer a raffle table inside the door – all proceeds come back to the TWAS Wardrobe.  We may have some special guests making an appearance too!  Hope you can join us!

Join Us at Chipotle November 2, 2022 from 4-8 pm!

Our next dine out night for the TWAS Wardrobe will be at Chipotle (3216 Trindle Road Camp Hill, PA  17011) on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.  Hope you can join us!

We receive 33% of the sales!  Please share a hard copy of the flyer or electronically with your friends, family and coworkers!  Flyers cannot be distributed at the restaurant to other customers.  If this is done our fundraiser will be cancelled.

Update from the first dine out night that was held at Panera in October … we raised $138.60!!!!

AED
We wanted to let you know that we have received the AED and we will work on getting it hung and getting all staff trained.  Thank you to all those that have supported us in raising the funds for the AED. 

Hoss’s
We had an amazing night!  We received $307.05 dollars from Hoss’s which will be put in the account for when we need to replace items for the AED in the years to come.

After the fundraising efforts and an anonymous donor last year we were set up to be able to hopefully make the purchase by the end of this dance season.  We received an email from a dance family last week that is donating the rest of the funds needed to make the purchase now.

We have permission from the family to share their touching story with all of you:

Our daughters started at Studio ’91 in June just as they turned 3. We are so happy that we have found an activity that fills their lives with such joy and happiness, as this past year has been very difficult for our family, especially them. The girls are actually triplets! Their brother did not get to turn 3 years old with his sisters this year. His story is the reason our family is donating an AED to Studio ’91. On March 2, 2022, I sat their brother on the couch with me in the morning, preparing to watch Blippi like we did every morning. Suddenly, he went into cardiac arrest and passed away in my arms. The police were the first to respond to our 911 call. One of their first questions was if we had an AED at home. We did not and I will spend the rest of my life wondering if the outcome would be different had we purchased one. I would never want another family to experience what we have and be left to wonder how life could be if an AED was nearby. Our family is happy to fulfill this need for Studio ’91.
