Hello Dance Families!
It’s hard to believe the holiday season is already here, and 2025 is just around the corner! I’m excited to see all the dancers take the stage next month in their festive costumes and holiday colors.
Our dance fundraising season kicked off with an incredible success—thanks to our mum sale at Paulus’ Farm Market, where we sold over 900 mums! The funds raised have allowed Friends of Studio `91 to support our dancers. A huge thank you to Kim Kerchner for organizing our monthly dine-out events, which have been another fantastic fundraiser. Kim, we’re so grateful for the time and effort you put into coordinating these events. And thank YOU, dance families, for showing up, sharing, and helping us spread the word—these gatherings make a difference!
With the new year approaching, we’re announcing a few changes within Friends of Studio `91. After eight years of dedicated service, Allison Grindle will be stepping down as Treasurer at the end of the dance season, passing the torch to Sarah Dalto. Thank you, Allison, for all the hard work you’ve contributed over the years.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Barb Arnold, who, after eight wonderful years as our President, will be stepping down this December to focus on her graduating senior. Barb, your leadership, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our dance families have been invaluable.
As a Studio `91 alum and current Dance Mom, I’m honored to step into the role of President of Friends of Studio `91. My time at Studio `91 as a child instilled values of hard work, creativity, and compassion, and it’s wonderful to see my daughter now making her own dance memories. I’m excited to contribute to an organization that uplifts all our dancers and supports the mission of Studio `91: building positive self-esteem, poise, and confidence in each student.
We’re looking to expand our Friends circle and welcome more partners to join our group. Keep an eye on your email for an invitation to an upcoming planning meeting—new faces and fresh ideas are always welcome!
Lastly, here’s a preview of our upcoming fundraisers (specific dates to come in the new year):
- January: Marianna’s, Sticky Buns
- February: Jeff’s Jams & Salsas, Popcorn, Whoopie Pies
- March: R & K, Bruster’s Ice Cream Bucks, Cookie Dough
- April: Marianna’s, Flower Bulbs
- May: R & K, Wine Slushies
Thank you all for being such an integral part of our community. Here’s to a season filled with joy, dance, and the warmth of our Studio `91 family!
Warmly,
Stephanie Spurgeon

Fundraising 2024
Dear Dance Families,
Wow! The summer went fast! Some of you may be ready for the school year to start and others (me included) could use a few more weeks of time with the kids! No matter which side you are on, the dance season is literally right around the corner.
This dance season is a Disney fundraising season. That means any fundraising credits you accumulate can be applied to your Disney account. You must contact Michelle Coover to sign up you account for Disney credit.
Last season Friends of Studio 91 managed many fundraisers for the studio. We are hopeful to continue with fundraising to offset dancer’s monthly tuition or Disney costs. Friends cannot provide fundraisers without the help of volunteers to run fundraisers. We need your help!
If you are able to oversee a fundraiser or you have run a fundraiser in the past, please reach out to Friends through the below emails to set your fundraising schedule. Friends of Studio 91 will assist any new volunteer with fundraising directions and templates.
If you are a returning volunteer, please reach out to Friends for updated fundraising policy that must be attached to all fundraisers.
Thank you all for your support. We look forward to hearing from many of you to make this a successful fundraising year!
